    Jean-Marie-Gauvreau Award for Excellence in the Arts and Crafts

I am pleased to announce that I am on the short list for the Jean-Marie-Gauvreau Prize. An exhibition featuring the works of the finalists for the 2026 Jean-Marie-Gauvreau and Jean-Cartier Prizes will be on display at MuMAQ through May 3.

Curated by José Niaison, four bodies of work have been brought together in this exposition, May 2nd to Julu 26th.

Alice au pays de l'entraide

In nature, a tonne of supportive, mutual aid and symbiotic relationships exist even between different species. I wanted to make these networks, sometimes at a microorganism level, visible in my forest installation. Three islets present a network of imagery with interwoven rubber strips supporting a form of sculpted wood inspired by the abundant orange jewelweed growing on site.
